With over 30 years of experience, the doctors at Community Eyecare Center care about not just your eyes, but your entire well-being. Certified to practice at the most advanced level by the Wisconsin Optometry Examining Board, our experts have the ability to prescribe eyewear and contact lenses, as well as the ability to diagnose and treat ocular disease including dry eye, infections and glaucoma, and perform minor surgical procedures. 


If you are in need of more advanced care such as cataract surgery, LASIK, or retinal surgery, we are well-equipped to co-manage your care, as we have strong relationships with local specialists from Stevens Point to the Fox Valley, and from Green Bay to Madison.

Dr. Jeffrey Byers

Dr. Jeff is originally from Pennsylvania, where he graduated from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown and the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1992. After his graduation, he joined Dr. Frank Hayes at Community Eyecare Center; and in 1993, he and Dr. Mary Jo purchased the practice. He has been serving the Waupaca area ever since.



Dr. Jeff has successfully completed board certification testing.
